Burton Cotton Gin Festival

The 35th Annual Burton Cotton Gin Festival is being held on Saturday, April 20, from 10am-6pm. The festival is a free, family friendly event featuring a day full of fun and history. The day begins with a parade through Burton, and continues at the grounds of the Texas Cotton Gin Museum.
- contests and games
- arts and crafts vendor area, as well as a food court
- tractor, engine, and classic cars on display
- folklife skills demonstrations such as blacksmithing, butter churning, and spoon carving.
- tours of the Burton Farmers Gin from 11am-2pm at 3pm, the Oldest Operating Cotton Gin in America will come to life, and bale of cotton will be ginned
- Hill Country Two Step is offering two-step dance classes from 12:30-1:30pm
The festival’s live music schedule begins with Annie Rost and Mike Stroup from 11am-noon. Sean Orr and Texas Gold follows from noon-2:30pm. Das is Lustig will perform from 2:30-4pm. Then, the afternoon wraps up with the Czechaholics from 4-6pm.
