2024 ARRL Field Day
June 22 - June 23
The ARRL Field Day, a national amateur radio exercise, will take place from 2 PM on Saturday, June 22nd, until noon on Sunday, June 23rd. This annual event, organized by the ARRL, attracts participation from Ham Radio operators nationwide.
Amateur (Ham) Radio operators across North America participate in Field Day by establishing temporary communication stations in public locations. Their radio signals reach beyond borders to bring people together while providing essential communication in the service of communities. Field Day highlights ham radio’s ability to work reliably under any conditions from almost any location using an independent wireless communications network.
Members from the Washington County Amateur Radio Club will set up a temporary communications station at the Prairie Hill Volunteer Fire Department, located at 7559 FM 50, Brenham, TX 77833. The public is invited to visit and learn more about Ham Radio and the Amateur Radio service. https://washcohamradio.org
