Honoring Black History Month “Our Own Hands” Exhibit (Brenham)

Our Own Hands Temporary Exhibit will be on view in the Blue Bell Gallery at the Brenham Heritage Museum during the month of February. This exhibit pays tribute to the early Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs who helped shape the economic and cultural landscape of Washington County. In a rural setting where opportunity was often limited, Black community members relied on creativity, skill, and determination to build livelihoods for themselves and their families.
