Washington County Appraisal District & Tax Office Closed Jan. 27th (Brenham)

The Washington County Appraisal District & Tax Office will be closed on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, due to hazardous icy road conditions affecting travel safety across the county.

The closure is being implemented out of an abundance of caution for the safety of the public, Board members, and staff, many of whom must travel county roads and highways to access the office.

The office is expected to reopen on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, weather and road conditions permitting.

As a result of the closure, the regularly scheduled Board of Directors meeting originally planned for January 27, 2026, will be rescheduled. Information regarding the new meeting date will be announced at a later time.

The property tax payment deadline remains Monday, February 2, 2026. Payments made in person or postmarked by the end of the day on February 2 will be considered timely.
