News Release from the Washington County Appraisal District

July 28, 2023 - August 13, 2023

The Washington County Tax Appraisal District will close to the public on Friday, July 28^th and will reopen on Monday, August 14^th. The office closure is for a complete conversion of the appraisal and collections software and staff training on the new product.

Burton ISD and the City of Burton have moved their tax collections to the WCAD, making this office a one-stop-shop for all property tax needs. The new software and website will add functionality and increase productivity.

While the office is closed, payments can only be made by mail or through the WCAD website at www.washingtoncad.org. Payments will not draft from owner’s bank accounts until after the office reopens on August 14^th, 2023.
