DESCRIPTION:The Washington County Tax Appraisal District will close to the public on Friday\, July 28th and will reopen on Monday\, August 14th.  The office closure is for a complete conversion of the appraisal and collections software and staff training on the new product.\nBurton ISD and the City of Burton have moved their tax collections to the WCAD\, making this office a one-stop-shop for all property tax needs.  The new software and website will add functionality and increase productivity.\n  \nWhile the office is closed\, payments can only be made by mail or through the WCAD website at www.washingtoncad.org.  Payments will not draft from owner’s bank accounts until after the office reopens on August 14th\, 2023.\n

At this 19th season series\, the Stray Katz Car Club will be back with a classic car show on the downtown Brenham streets\, and the bands will take the stage on Alamo Street by the courthouse at 7:00 PM. There is no charge to attend the concerts\, and downtown stores and vendors will be selling food and drinks.

DESCRIPTION:BBQ COOK-OFF AND BAKE COMPETITION \nVENDOR INFORMATION \nEvent will be held on Saturday\, July 29th from 9:30am to 3pm \nLocation is at the VFW Post 4692\, 794 N Harvey Mitchell Pkwy\, Bryan 77807  \nAll fees are non-refundable\, and the deadline for fee payment to reserve your booth space is Friday\, July 8th at 5pm.  If fees are not paid by that time your space will be released to another vendor.  Each fee covers $50 standard vendor.  Food vendor fee is $75. \nThe event is a one-day event to bring the community out\, have the kids participate in a couple of fun competitions\, invite local business to showcase their wares and services and have a lot of fun!  There will be a bounce house\, face painting\, food and games.  It will be hosted by DREAM BIG WHILE YOUNG\, a community youth nonprofit and the VFW Post 4692\, a prominent military organization here to assist our veterans who have served this country faithfully. \nPlease note NO EARLY BREAKING DOWN OF VENDOR BOOTHS\, prior to 7pm. \nYou will receive instructions via email approximately two weeks prior to the event. \nEach vendor will be responsible for registering with the City of Bryan Permits department for your individual permit which carries a fee around $4.  This is mandatory if you do not register you will not be able to participate. \nAll decisions of this event are final.
